Wireless Network Security

Talking to a buddy, and he told me that it is ok and safe to have the wireless router device act by only accepting mac address for wireless computers. By doing this method of only allowing mac address which are registered to connect to my network, can I select NONE between these choices in the setup: Security Options
None
WEP
WPA-PSK [TKIP]
WPA2-PSK [AES]
WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]

? Will I still be protected?

wpa-psk with a long randomized key and you will be bullet proof.

Your "friend" is sorely mistaken and anybody can get on that network within minutes.

You know what is sad? The CCNP\MCSE who did my job before I got here told me "Mac addy filtering is enough". I just bit my tongue long enough for the door to hit him on his ass as he left and promptly changed that crap around.
