Hey guys, I currently need to get ahold of a wireless network pc card for my laptop. My laptop does have a built in wireless adapter but it can only take in a measly b signal and I want to get a g signal.

For my home wireless setup I use a Linksys WRT54G wireless router, and I just need a card that can work perfectly and efficiently with this router.

Preferably it would be best if you guys could recommend me a card from this website. But if you have any better cards to suggest that isn't on this website please let me know regardless, I would still like to know about them.

That looks pretty good, but would there be a conflict with using a D-Link with a Linksys router?

It won't matter. I have mixed and matched many brands with success. I've always swapped the wireless mini-PCI cards inside the laptops to upgrade. CompuNation shows a few, but I have no idea why they're soo expensive. They're usually less than 50.00 .

go with D-Link for everything IMO. Linksys has terrible tech support and the products are cheap IMO.

I have had a D-Link wireless router in the past, and it had some issues where it would just randomly reset the wireless connection on its own.

So I switched to the Linksys WRT54G and that one also seems to give me some problems where it would cut off the internet connection and I would have to reset the power for it so that it can start broadcasting the wireless signal and the wired signal.

But it none of this really matters right now, because I just found that my laptop's HD is busted and I need to replace it before I can do anything. Or I could just opt to get a new laptop but then again I'm just a poor business student :D.
