"Slartibartfast" covers my house, "belkin54g" covers my parents house, both have WPA-PSK with a 49-char password.

Around here there's
earthlinkwifi
PDQ
BATCAVE
Feather

My two and BATCAVE are the only ones with security. There's more networks around in the evening for some reason.

they probably turn it off while at work?

I took a look around my apartment complex a few months ago. Someone had told me about one they had seen.
FREE INTERNET ACCESS was the SSID. Then a few weeks later the guy was screaming because someone had stolen his identity.

Here at the office I can see:
2062
CorpOffCenters (unsecured)
HS-dot1x
KW_Guest
hpsetup (ad hoc)
SCDWLAN

But my favorite was: Virus Test Net

i think mine is my last name or something like kellyhome. Most of the ones around where i have lived previously and currently are the defaults, like linksys, 2wire, netgear.

Mine's my last name... although that's probably not super great for being discrete and a bit private 😱. Just always used that since when I lived in the country and it didn't matter since no one could access my WLAN anyway. Most of the ones around me are secured with WEP (lulz) or WPA but the "MANCAVE" is not.

invalid

I hope that it confuses n00bs.

When we moved into our old apartment, there was one called ERIC.
We named ours ERICSUX. 🙂

mine is 'slinky' (...had the 311 song of the same name stuck in my head when I named it)

neighbors is 'bubbanet'

Mines retarded lol

When my network was 802.11b, it was called Cheetah. When I upgraded to 802.11g, I renamed it to Super Cheetah 😛
