Wireless network monitoring software

Since my network is spread out from the basement (where the router is) to the back bedroom 3 floors above, I am using a range expander upstairs to pickup and boost the signal. It does a great job, as the entire upstairs (and probably half the neighborhood) has 54mb "excellent" signal.

Problem is, it only works with WEP security.

Are there any freeware monitoring apps that will tell me whenever someone tries to connect and possibly log their MAC address so I can block it?

Network Magic will do this, and only costs $30, but right now there's a million other places that $30 needs to go, so I'm searching for a cheaper alternative.

Thx.
