I have a wireless G router and a PC in the house is having trouble with the signal. If I set up a Wireless N router to expand Wi-Fi signal in my house, would the PC be able to pick up the signal better?

If you mean that the computer is out of range then yes most n routers can provide a greater range than g routers as well as a greater speed.
