I am looking at wireless mice.
I read that bluetooth is bad because it's high latency and it has interference from wireless networks.
I am looking for bot a desktop and a laptop.
I know some of the blutooth receivers are tiny, are there non-bluetooth tiny receivers also?
I do NOT have room for a receiver that is not directly connected to the computer.
If I need to run a wire to where the receiver could sit, I might as well run a corded mouse.

I use two Logitech VX Nano mice - incredible small USB xmttre/rcvr. One is on my Vista lappie and the other on my Vista tower. Some folks don't like small mice, but I love 'em! :)

They turn on and off by switch to save battery. They are only 6 feet apart and do not interfere with one another. In fact, they are not interchangeable. This shows the tiny USB unit:

Bluetooth mouse transmitters are about the size of a flash drive. And they can be troublesome sometimes, but unless you are a hardcore FPS player you won't notice much. It's not so bad for laptops because the transmitter is so close, but I can't place the transmitter in the rear USB ports on my PC without serious connection issues.

Perhaps the G7, I hear good things about it and it appears to have the small transmitter you want, but I haven't used it myself because I place ergonomics over performance.
