if i have 2 wireless receivers plugged to the back of my comp side-by-side from 2 different manufacturers, will they interfere with each other?

(1 receiver for kb, 1 for mouse)

p.s. yes i know there are desktop set combos

I don't think so. Each manufacturer usually uses a different frequency compare to others. Although, there is a possibility it could interfere between each other, the likelihood is very nil!

Possible, not probable.

I haven't had a problem yet, and if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck! :D

That is simply not true. The frequency bands available for this kind of communication only have about 10 different channels.

What actually does happen is that the wireless equipment use encryption to make sure that the right signals is matched to the right receiver.

Yes, of course they will interfere with each other. Probably not enough though to cause any problems.

My wireless telephone system operates at the exact same frequency as my wireless G router, which operate at the same frequency as my cordless mouse, and I don't even get as much as a static hiccup in my telephone

Some people do get problems though, so Im not really sure what exactly causes two frequencies to interfere with each other to the point that performance is degraded.

I run two Wireless keyboards and three Wireless Mice of two computers that are on the same desk.

No problem.
