my wireless trackball stops responding when i plug in my camera?

is this a driver issue? usb? need separate usb controller?

 
What OS are you using? My roommate and I both use XP and when he plugs his digital camera usb camera in windows tells him that his optical mouse is disabled because the camera uses up too much bandwidth. I don't know if this is you problem, It could be a driver problem too.
