Wireless Internet Slow, Regular Network Speed Fine

I can't figure out what the problem is.

My thinkpad (x61) connects fine to basically all other wireless networks I've used.

It shows an excellent connection to my home network and is able to access network drives/share files at ~2 mb/sec.

The internet however, is so slow that pages rarely load, pings timeout, etc...

All other wireless devices seem to access internet without a problem on the same network--it's just my machine.

Basically, there must be some setting that is specifically throttling the internet speed of my laptop on this network only.

Any ideas?

Not really experienced with an issue like that, but you can try the repair feature in the wireless networking area.. right click your wireless icon in the network connection and go to properties... then click status and there should be a repair button there.. that might help.
