Wireless internet router

im running an Linksys right now, but I had a Compusa branded one connected for a while, until the darn thing wouldnt work with the airport extreme card / 802.11G cards. They wouldnt see the router.

WIth the linksys in place, all seem to work just peachy.

What if I have and don't like? Should I vote? I have a netgear BTW, and mine's fine but the ones on the market now have BIG security problems, which Netgear refuses to fix.. :|

I guess if you dont like it, dont vote for it. I am trying to figure out which one people have and are happy with.

Had the Linksys wired and would've went with them for wireless except:

- Netgear had a good deal
- try something new

My old netgear is fine but the new ones, as I said, are BAD. I guess YMMV. just be warned, there is a backdoor in the new netgear models.

I have Microsoft MN-500 (802.11b) and had a MN-700 (802.11g) before returning the 700 (it had slower transfer speeds than my 802.11b)

Got a good deal on a refurb Netgear wireless 802.11b router from Compgeeks that should be here today or tomorrow so obviously that's my choice. Hopefully all will be well.

microsoft router/ms adapters.
dont really care for the software but the computers in my apt never drop their connection and the speed is satisfactory for my purposes.

I had a D-Link DI-624 router, was fine when I just wanted my laptop to be wireless. When it came time to connect my xbox, I switched to a pair of Buffalo Tech WBR2-G54 routers. One acting as router the other acting as a bridge for the xbox.

The D-Link I have is the DI-614+... 802.11b... used to have only wep(256bit which is rare)... but the recent firmware update got me WAP too... I have a motorola G pc card and a generic usb B card... seems the G pc card is a tad bit slower than my old B pc card... and it doesn't do the 22 Mbit enhanced mode.... but that was a drag on battery life anyway so I kept it down to 11...
