wireless internet not working

hello. i have a linksys router with comcast cable internet. just the other day the wireless connection on the upstairs computer didnt recognize any internet. i checked the settings and it said the connection was excellent. so i was wondered why there was a problem if the connection is there....it wouldnt connect to any website, even with a full connection. can somebody please help me? thanks
 
To add to that, can the router ping on the outside?

1st. Make sure you can ping the router
2nd See if the router can ping www.yahoo.com or anything else on the web.

Then post here whay you found.
 
To be honest, I'm a networking newbie..I'm gonna try checking it out again later tonite or tomorrow morning to see if the issue is still a problem. So far all i have done is reset the router. Thanks guys. i'll check in again to see if anything else happens
