Hey guys.
I brought home from work a terabyte-grade external storage because apparantly the RAID array went bad and they didn't know how to fix it, and they couldn't send it to the manufacturer because the manufacturer went kaput (it's a Yellow Machine P400T).
I originally suspected a bad hard drive in the array, but I took them out and hooked them up to my mobo via IDE and ran some scans and they seem to be fine... so I erased the partitions and re-setup the storage (which took a whole day of problem-solving because apparantly the installation program keeps getting my Wireless adapter's IP confused with my LAN IP, so I had to disable my wireless altogether).
Anyway, in the end I set up the storage successfully, and I was pretty happy and all, re-enabled my wireless internet... then I noticed that my internet keeps cutting on and off.
Basically Windows keeps trying to connect to the Internet through the ethernet LAN line, which doesn't work since the only thing on the LAN line is the storage, it isn't patched through to WAN. So unless I disable my LAN line (and thus connection to the storage... rendering it useless), I can't get my wireless internet to work.
The router is in my cousin's room which is some distance away, which is why I am using wireless. Is there any way to tell Windows to only use my wireless for internet? This is so annoying... x__x
