I think what you are missing here is that no one is ever going to say wireless is a replacement for a hard wire...if you think it should be then you need to do some homework yourself.
I have transfere large files over wireless, i accept that it isnt as fast as it should be.
G is nice, but no one here would need it if you are only sharing the internet....if you share Gigs of data on a daily basis over your LAn, why would you go with wireless?
You would because you have a NEED for it, not because it is the ONLY solution available...wireless isnt in its infancy by any means....
Think of about 5 years ago...how many switched netowrks were there? Especially in a home...
Everyone had a 10/mb shared hub running their networks...no different than an 11mb wireless connection.
