Wireless help. What should I Get.. What do I need

I am setting up a small network in my house. Most of the Computers are in various rooms that would require wall drilling and wire running all over to get the network hooked up.
So I was wondering about a wireless router.

Will I still be able to play games with an excellent ping? Or will going wireless hurt my ping?
What is the best wireless router for this application?
Do I have to buy special card for each computer seperately?
What is the best card to go with the best router?
Is there a better alternative?

Hurt is possible, you will not know until you try.

There is no best.

Get an an inexpensive one (some on sale for $30) and give it a try.

You do need a Client Card for each Wireless connected computer.
