Wireless headsets (with boom microphone) -- do gaming grade ones exist?

I really enjoy using wireless headphones for when I'm gaming (without voice comm) or walking around the house and listening to National Public Radio clips over my computer. But what if I want to use voice comm to chat with my gaming friends and walk around the house to get snacks or cook, etc.?

Is there such a thing as gaming-grade wireless headsets with boom microphones?

what would "gaming-grade" be? why can't you use a regular headset?
stuff listed as "gaming" tends to be more gimmick or a reason to charge twice as much for little to no benefit.

By gaming-grade, I mean that it would deliver good sound in stereo, having a headphone for both of your ears as opposed to a telephone-like headset with a single headphone.
