My question:

Do they make headsets for computers that are:

A. Wireless
B. Have microphone
C. Are headphones.
D. For 1 Ear, not two.

I'm looking for a headset with all of these components. I know like the Xbox 360 has them, but I'm talking about for PC. Main reason is that I game on Armed Assault/OFP with Teamspeak, and I'd like to be able to talk hands free/wirelessly to the people in Teamspeak with the ability to hear them in the headset.

I've seen one for near $300... Are they really this expensive??

On the other hand a blue-tooth dongle and any headset for a cell phone will do the same thing.

Are those cheaper? What all would I have to buy in order to have a blue-tooth wireless headset/microphone?

Let's see... $10-$15 for usb bluetooth dongle on Ebay... Motorola HS850 (top end model, I have it and love it) $40 at costco, or try your luck on ebay. Read the fine print, get a NEW item, not used. I also have a "OEM" version (chinese knockoff) and it works nearly as well as the real deal, doesn't have some minor features of the real deal.

So yeah, definitely cheaper than a Plantronics. But plantronics is damned fine stuff that lasts a long time (at least the wired models that I have experience with.)

Seconded. A USB Bluetooth thing (put down $2 more and get a Bluetooth 2.0 EDR long-range model) and mobile phone earpiece-style headset. That'll be useful outside the computer room as well.
