Hey Guys,

I have a Linksys wireless G router and a G PCI card in one of my pcs. The router and PC are on opposite sides of the house.. my connection keeps dropping.. My question is.. what do i need to increase my signal? A bridge? some sort of relay?? Someone please help..

thanks!

Do you get a good signal strength reading from the software?

You may have to move the router closer or to another room. Steel in the construction of your house, or in steel cabinetry, etc. may interfere with your reception.

Before you make major moves, try adjusting the antenna positions of both the router and the PCI card. It helps to have a friend helping you so you can test one change at a time on either end.

If moving the antennas is not enough, moving either the router or the location of your PC even a foot or two in one direction or another may also be enough to give you a clear communication path.

Also, see if Linksys provides toll free telephone tech support.

i am having trouble flashing my router, for some reason when i try to load the flash file its says invalid file type.. any idea?
