Yes. Wireless-G is plenty fast.

The optimal speed of your internet connection, assuming you have cable, would likely be around 3 Mb/sec. The maximum theoretical speed of a wireless-g network is 54 Mb/sec. 54 > 3. Real-world max speed ~20 Mb/sec. 20 is still > 3. Theoretical max of wireless-b is 11 Mb/sec. 11 > 3. Real-world max of wireless-b ~6 Mb/sec. 6 is still > 3.

Yes it's plenty fast.

I've even played games on a wireless G LAN with 3 other people, and there were no noticeable problems.

Wireless throughput is more than fast enough for anything online, even with 802.11b. It might add 20-30 ms to your latency, but that's still plenty quick for gaming.

Edit: While replying to a similar thread, I checked my ping to my wireless router and find it to be pretty consistent at 1 ms. That's not quite as quick as the <1 ms that you may get with hard-wiring, but it's plenty fast.

I've hosted Call of Duty games on my wireless (802.11b) laptop with 3 wired desktops. With no slow down or lag.
