It appears the MSRP is 19.99, but it's out of stock in most places. Did this thing stink or something?

I have 2 wireless xbox controllers, guitars, racing wheel, etc... and I'd like to able use these devices on my PC since I have a 4890 coming in the mail soon.

Problem is I can't find the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Xbox 360 for the MSRP?

It seems to have a lot of bad reviews too... anyone have any feedback on it?

Wrong Forum - meant to post in PC Gaming. Sorry

Well I went ahead and got it.

I had a 8% coupon on eBay and 8% cashback through bing so it came to around 27-28$. It's worth a shot to me.

Wasn't there some sort of issue with the amount of power it drew? The receiver apparently works very well when it works.

I haven't heard much about other than mapping can be a pain.

It seems like a good idea, but I'm iffy to way most sites have pulled it.

If it's terrible I'll put it back on eBay.

I didn't think it was that bad from what I heard. It's just that people were pissed they'd have to fork over more money to use their wireless controller on the PC.

I think it works great, but it does have problem sometimes with forgetting the controller signal. I've used 2 -- one came new with the controller and another was ordered separately off eBay.

Be sure and download the latest driver for it off the MS site, even if you have Vista.

I didn't know there was a problem with it drawing too much power, but doesn't surprise me. At first, when I unplugged it from the USB hub, my computer would reboot. Now, it doesn't do that anymore.

I am using Windows 7 with the lastest driver release for it and it works perfectly. A lot of newer games automatically detect and configure the control as well (mostly console ports).

Well this is good news... I just wish it wasn't so marked up everywhere. I suppose that's supply and demand. It seems newegg had it for ~$17 when it was an active item.

Has anyone used it with the racing wheel?

I haven't had any problems with it and I play GTR2 occasionally with the racing wheel as well.

If it drains too much power, i would use USB charger and plug it into the computer. I did it with my laptop a couple times and it worked fine

Works great for me. As far as the MS wheel goes, I remember reading it doesn't support Force Feedback on it - that's a total waste then. Didn't try it myself though (and I have the racing wheel).

I was thinking about getting one to use on GH III on the PC, but with a lot of people complaining about the reciever not working 100% and GH III being laggy already I thought it might really be a bad idea lol.

If you use XP and have a G15 keyboard then expect issues as they do not work nicely unless MS or Logitech have recently fixed it.

Damn, I should have bought one of these a while ago. Way too expensive now. I guess I'm stuck with my wired controller for PC games. :(

Looks like they only sell it with the controller now... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...&cp=1&id=1166839533325

edit: I use my 360 in the same room as my PC. If I have this hooked up to my PC, will they interfere with each other?

ex. if i press the silver button to turn on the controller to play a PC game with it will it turn on my 360? ...and will turning off the 360 turn off the controller?
