wireless gaming adapter

Anyone use one of these on a PS3? Do you notice a better throughput then the built in wireless.

I'm having trouble streaming movies over my wireless to the PS3. Netflix works fine but I have issues with some regular movies and all blu-ray HD ones. I'm using a Dlink N DIr655 and was thinking of getting either another wireless N router or a gaming adapter with a gigabit port to increase bandwidth.

Im using a Buffalo Tech N-Router as a gaming/ethernet adapter now. With my xbox 360 (not slim) and a LG Blu ray player. Eventually I may have a receiver going to it too.

I have it kind of high up probably like 7 feet off the ground and it does provide better range. The blu-ray player has built in n wifi but gets better reception using the adapter but I still get stuttering sometimes when watching HD files. So yes I would say that a gaming adapter would work better. However there are a bunch of other things that can affect wireless signals.

Im getting a xbox slim sometime next week (got one on ebay last night) so I was thinking of doing away with the router as an adapter and changing it over to a repeater and seeing how that works. You might want to look into that too.

When I had my router & cable modem in the other room, I was able to run Netflix on the PS3 just fine. I would try the router first, especially if yours is getting on in age.

Router is a new N gigabit router. Issue is the G on the PS3. Netfix works fine but streaming from my WMS using PS3 server is the issue.
