I assume the answer to this would be yes but, can you use any brand wireless G adapter with like for instance, the linksys wireless router? If so, ill prollly snag a couple of these.

Bah. Out of stock in all stores in Utah. 🙁

I really need a couple of inexpensive wireless adapters, too. 😛

Oh well, it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Thanks for the info, AMDMaddness!

I got mine yesterday in Atlanta. I did have a little adventure with getting it. The girl scaned it and it rang up as $30. I told her that it was only $10. She then tried to tell me that I had to send in a rebate. I said I don't think so and showed her my printout which stated $10 showing an instant rebate. Needless to say after she ran around for 15 minutes I got it.

Gotta love CompUSA

This item is discontinued. Although the inventory stated "Out of Stock," there were indeed some in the back. Just have to ask. They also ring up as 30$ but just access the website via their computer(s) and just show them that it is indeed 10$.

had a little ordeal getting mine too.
I ordered mine for pickup online at the Royal oaks store in Houston @ 8 a.m. Went to get them after work and they were nowhere to be found. Apparently noone pulled them when they were supposed to and there were only 7 left and SOMEONE came in later and bought them all, leaving me with my sales ticket and a manager scratching his head swearing they had been pulled.Either someone sweettalked them into seeling the two to him\her or they never pulled them and noone check inventory. needless to say I got a replacement being sent out, but you'd think they'd have better control of their inventory

When the AT&T wirelessG USB adapters were onsale for $10 abotu 6 months ago I jumped on it. !!!Worst!!! adapter I have ever EVER bought. Getting it to work at all was a major operation. But once I got it working, its doing its job without too much trouble. I do have to configure it every time I boot up my computer to get it to work. But heres the thing. I went in after checking to see if they had any instock at my local CompUSA and the website did indeed indicate they had some instock. When I arrived, there were none to be found on the shelvs. I felt the anger welling up inside myself when I finally was able to talk to someone (practically impossible at this store for some reason). Anyway, I showed them the printout I had for the deal from their website and the guy I was talking to scratched his head for a while. He went to go talk to someone else, who in-turn, immediatly went to the back of the store and emurged with one. I feel almost %100 sure that this guy had taken the stock and held it for himself, but was glad he decided to sell one to me.

I had similar experience to Shinare. I searched the store and couldn't find one. I asked csr and he checked the computer and said they have 6. We searched shelves, endcaps. He asked 2 different stock people and went in back and looked. Came up empty. Had to drive 25 miles to come back empty handed. Manager looked also and said it was a small package and probobly walked out the door. Oh well what do you do.

Funny, all orders considered I scored three AT&T 6800G/6850G routers, three or four PCMCIA cards, and two USB adapters from that deal, and all performed FLAWLESSLY. Only complaint I had was that they don't do WPA, only 128bit WEP, which is probably why they were being cleared out. But zero performance or config issues.

yeah I feel you guys' pain... I wouldnt have been as mad as I was except for the fact that they actually had a printout for me ANd a spot on the shelf where they have everything else thats been pulled. It's easily visible from the customer service desk so my suspicion is that someone came in wanting them and noticed these two boxes and talked someone into seeling them to him.

I score the last 1 at compusa Saint Louis MO area.

just sitting there on the shelf no price tag for it

rang up at 29.99 had a talk with the big Boy, and he price match his on-line price $9.10+ tax
