wireless ethernet webcams

i hope this is the right category for this....

i saw a d-link wireless ehternet webcam and thought it was pretty cool....but how do they connect to your computer? if i already have a wireless router, would i be able to connect to the camera using that?

I believe most wireless webcams have internal webservers now. So you simply type in the webcam's IP address in your address bar.

And if you want the outside world to see it, put it in DMZ or forward Port 80 to it.

I was looking at the Dlink cams once, and they use a software program to connect to the IP address of the camera.

The wireless works just like any other 802.11b,g,a device. It connects to the access point, obtains an IP and there you go.
