I just got my Emachines laptop in the mail today, and it won't connect to our wireless network. It see it, but it says it's not secrure, and won't connect to it. Our router is a Netgear MR814, and the emachines had built in 802.11g. Any suggestions would be great, as I need to acsess the network as soon as possible. The built in firewall is turned off, and WEP is not ebabled on the router.

are you connecting to the wireless network using xp or emachines software?

try using the xp wireless configuration (view network connections, right-click properties on wireless network connection). you should be able to connect - though windows will warn you that the connection is not secure, if you acknowledge it should still let you connect.
