Wireless charging stands

So, with my magic new S7 Edge in hand, I'm now looking for a nice wireless stand charger.

This, the former bestseller

and a bunch of models that look like it are now unavailable at Amazon. Is a new better model coming?

Anyone particularly satisfied with something along these lines?

The original of that style is the Tylt:

That's what I was using on my N6 until I got a 6P, it works quite well. However - Your phone supports wireless fast charging, I'd look for one of those if you can. Qi is great but it is not fast. It's not a major issue if you charge opportunistically during the day but if it supports fast charging you may as well get a compatible charger.

It would be for overnight charging next to my bed, so speed isn't necessary - and may even be a negative.

Also, it looks like only Samsung first-party chargers do this Wireless Fast Charge thingy? They do have a $70 stand, but even with one of the inevitable coupons that's a lot.

Wireless fast charging is a relatively new addition to Qi, but it is a standard. Eventually there should be 3rd party chargers (if indeed there aren't already), but Samsung is likely to be the most readily available for a while.

If you don't care about fast charge I'd just grab a Tylt. There are probably lots of them out there from people who have upgraded to the latest Nexus devices. I was 100% wireless charging for four generations of phones and had four chargers to give away when I was done.

Ha, thanks. It really feels like the further perfection of the form factor, which seemed impossible after the Note 2/S4/G2. I feel like the folks who stuck with the classic S7 missed the boat.

I tried both, didn't like the extra height of the edge, so i didn't miss anything.
Maybe if the 5.1 came with the edge screen i'd get it, it would be even narrower.

I have a similar one by Spigen. It takes about 2.5 hrs to charge from empty to full. Quick charge with the Samsung charger will take half that time.

I like my Nokia one, however I think I did see that with phones starting to get so large, it could have trouble depending on where the Qi coils in the phones were.

Nice. I have an Aukey car charger.

Already ordered a deeply discounted Tylt off eBay though.

Tylt Vu arrived, seems to work perfectly in both orientations.

God as my witness, I'll never plug in again! (Well, ok, at some point.)

My main issue now is that I'm well over 50% most nights, so I feel a bit bad not going for the second day.
