Wireless card problems...

GoingUp

Lifer
I just got a D link wireless card to work with my linksys wireless router. Normally it works just great, but randomly it will completely lose all signal after having a signal strength of 100%. I am no more than 30 feet away from the router. Any ideas why my Wireless Nic randomly drops the connection?

A shot in the dark but it could be some interference perhaps, try changing your channel on the AP and see if it continues to happen. Might also check for driver/firmware updates for both sides and see if there is any for either device.

I think that it may be with my wireless router... I am sitting in our student library workin wirelessly and I havent had a drop in signal at all. At least now I know that my wireless nic is working great! Now I just gotta get my fricken AP to work better!

Any ideas on how to improve wireless router performance? I am no more than 3 feet away when I am getting all the signal drops....

It might be some weird incompatibility between the two pieces of hardware. What versions of firmware are you running on both?
