wireless bridging

Ok, my friend and I each have a DWL900AP+ Acess Point. It has bridging functionality built into it and we are trying to bridge the APs. There is about 350ft distance between them and there is nothing in the way between them. We have gotten them to see each other, so we know they are at least barely in range but they will not work properly together. I just thought I would check here to see if there was something I am missing. If they can see each other does that necessarily mean they are in range? I don't know what could be wrong with the setup, thanks in advance for any help.

Put them in the same room, or close enough together where distance is not part of the equation. If they associate and pass data, but won't when you seperate them by your required distance path, then it's a signal issue. In that case, then directed radiation pattern, via directional antennas, yagi - parabolic - patch - panel whatever you like and can afford, would very likely solve your problem.

For 350 feet, a pair of www.cantenna.com antennas should do the trick.
