Wireless Access Points

I'm looking into starting a wireless network in my home. I have been looking into various Access Points.

Does anyone have a wireless network set up? Are all Access Points created equal? Should I just buy the cheapest one or is there one that excells above the rest?

They vary quite a bit actually. Here are some good reviews:

Make sure you buy one that fits your needs:

1. 64 bit vs 128bit encryption. Which do you want?

2. Throughput with encryption enabled. How much does it slow things down on your unit? Some are greatly crippled by encryption, some are not.

3. You need a few 10/100 wired ports?

4. You need broadband routing functions?

5. You need it to act as a print server?

6. How much are you looking to spend?

There are quite a few questions you want to answer before you choose one, because although they're reasonably inexpensive these days, there's no reason to waste money on one that doesn't fit your needs.

Cool. Thanks for the link. All I need it for is to share a DSL connection. And that's really about it.

I'll take a look at these reviews.
