Howdy.
I'm wondering if the following is possible, and if so, what I would need to implement it. I have a laptop with wireless built in. In my apartment I also have a wireless router so I can get online with no problems. When I go home to my parent's house I want to be able to access the internet as well. They have DSL, however they're using an internal PCI DSL modem. So there's no real way to implement a standard router. I'm wondering if I can "allow other users to access this computer's internet connection" and connect either a wireless router or wireless access point to their computer's NIC and get the internet connection shared so my laptop can access it.
I hope it can be done, but don't really know if just an access point would do the trick or if i'd have to use an actual router. I'm not worried about DHCP and such (i don't think) so i don't think i need all the features a router posesses.
Any suggestions/instructions on the topic would be appreciated. Thanks!
