I've been looking at wireless lately because my wired router died and I coincidentally got a free wireless router. Just have a few questions and I would really appreciate it if someone could clear this up for me... ^_^
Would I be correct in assuming that with the claimed 22/Mb/s, I wouldn't be able to get much more than 1 megaBYTE/sec? How much approximately is the norm? The connection distance is about 20ft through a wall and a floor.
The speed obviously fine for internet surfing or gaming, but what about transferring files over the network? It would be waaaaay slower than a wired network, correct? Is this significant? And I've never heard any complaints about wireless network speed, why is that?
