I noticed that they still have some decent deals there without rebates... Is there any way to order this way for 2 different phones on a family plan?

hmm... there used to be an "order by phone" link on the page but you're right. it's gone. maybe it returns during daytime hours?

the other option is to order 2 of the same, then call them to change it after you get your order confirmation. That would work, though it's a bit of a pain.

Go to Amazon and get it for FREE with a ONE year contract.

From what I see, inphonic only has 2-yr agreements.

Cingular has a lot of great phones.

If size is your priority, I now have a Nokia 6230 and I love it. It's tiny, there's nothing it doesn't do, and I like Nokia menus, etc.

If you text message a lot, the LG F9100 is actually an awesome phone with a full keyboard.

If photos are a priority, the Sony Ericsson S710a takes amazing pictures for a phone and the screen is huge.

All the others in the original post have their merits, too, but for me it would be between these 3...

The Nokia 6256 flip phone is coming soon for Verizon. Should blow away the e815 but who knows how much it will cost?

Got my T-mobile rebate from HSN deal, Nokia 6010. Less than one month, very fast. Still waiting for HSN's rebate.

I'm looking to switch over to Verizon from Cingular and have 2 questions.

1. Can I port my number from Cingular over to Verizon if I go through Wirefly and/or Amazon? I have heard that Amazon does not allow people to port numbers. Is this true and has anyone had any personal experiences either way?

2. I get a 13% discount from my employer for Verizon plans. My employer allows me to register an existing Verizon phone number to receive their discount. I was thinking of purchasing the LG VX8100 through either Amazon or Wirefly and then registering my ported phone number through my employer to receive the discount. If I do this, will it void any of the rebates?

I've considered getting a new VZW plan through amazon and I never spotted the option to port numbers, but I'd imagine they do.

If you follow the process through a couple steps (it's still before the checkout page) WireFly DOES have a checkbox to port numbers, with the requisite disclaimer about "Don't cancel your old service yet, monkey!"

I ended up choosing to stay with my current carrier, but Wirefly doesn't have them as an option. Otherwise, I'd be on this like a fat chick on cupcakes.

For what it's worth you can port numbers over via amazon deals except if you are changing to cingular. (Because cingular is apparently incompetent and needs to create a brand new account to port a number in)

There's a page on amazon you can find by searching for porting numbers that has the details on how to do it with each carrier.

I signed up for a Cingular family plan through Wirefly with 2 free V551s... phones came fast (a couple days), and I haven't had any problems. Thanks OP!

Oh man, on my reciept it said that it charged the 250 for the E815, so I think I will have to follow through with the rebates. Oh well, I Just hope they work.

Thanks for the link.
