Wired network connection problem(win7+8)

Hey, guys(and gals)

I have an issue in my home network..

My main computer runs win 8, all is well, I can connect to all computers on my network.. And all other computers can connect to me.. except my laptop in wired mode.

I have an asus K55VM running win 7 ultimate(wonderful little laptop). In wireless mode in can connect to my main, no problem. But as soon as I disable wireless and plug it into the LAn(gigabit from a Dlink router), it finds all my computers on my network, but it cant connect.

Gets the message Cant connect to network adress.

Anyone have a good explanation why?
The IP adress and subnet is all in good order. All is set on automatic, tried manual settings, no difference.. This laptop connecting to my main is the only issue I have..

And yes.. My main can connect to the laptop while the laptop is in wired mode(and wireless for that matter).

Hope anyone has any good ideas 😉
