Wire-less cards

I am a mac fan but have always known that if I want to do gaming (and I do) I need to run a computer that uses a Windows OS. So I am making a gaming computer but I would like to still use my wire-less network. What 80211b card that would be all internal should i go with?

d-links are pretty good

there going for 15 at OD, its a very good deal, pretty good cards

if u wanna spend a bit more ornico gold are pretty good

If you are getting a pre-built like a Dell, they may have a "house brand" wifi card that they can install for you. That way they also must support the card if you have any problems.

There isn't much difference between linksys, d-link, and belkin PCI WiFi cards, so if one is very cheap, you can buy it. Different people have good and bad results with every brand, so if you look at review at newegg.com or amazon.com you will see both "it's great!" and "it's awful!" for most cards.

For test reviews you might check www.practicallynetworked.com and also their link to 80211 planet.

I think in general, Linksys makes a better product and will work better. I know their WAPs tend to have a better range than say a DLink for whatever that's worth
