We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. All you need is a wire cutter, stripper, crimper, connectors, and cable. They sell tools that have the cutter, stripper, and crimper integrated together.
Radio Shack and probably your local electronics parts stores sell the crimper (it's not the standard wire stripper/crimper that you can buy at the hardware store). Generally there is not much in the way of crimping instructions included with the Radio Shack crimper tool, so check out the Molex and Amp (both major connector mfrs) web sites in hopes of finding some specific instructions. I like to both crimp and solder--I'm a belt-and-suspenders type of guy..., but you have to be careful when soldering the pins as it is easy to fill the female ones, which makes it difficult/impossible to plug the male pin in...
