Wiping a HDD...

Anyone know of a free utility that can wipe HDDs, but which also fits and runs from a bootable floppy?

I have a HDD that is going bad in my laptop, and when I send it in for warranty replacement, I want to make sure nothing shady can happen with my old drive.
 
Don't just re-partition it using fdisk. A guy at our company did that before he left for a new job. When my boss was curious why, he recovered the data and found thousands of child porn pics and videos (none self-made, all downloaded). He was arrested and is now is prison after they raided his house and found more.
