WipeoutHD

This is the racer I really want on the PS3. I don't really have any interest in GT5. According to this news today, the game is due out in late May or early June.
 
Looks pretty anemic, still doesn't sound like its much different (improved) form the last Wipeout game I played...back on my N64...

Unfortunately the last and best (by far) antigrav racing game I've played was also on my N64...Star Wars Pod Racer.

At least F-Zero has been/seems to be consistently (yet slowly) improving, however I still prefer the more realistic/gritty feel of Pod Racer or Wipeout.
 
I absolutely adored the first Wipeout for the PS1. If I were to get a PS3, and this title gets good reviews, I'd definitely pick it up.
 
Wipeout XL is one of the best games ever.

It looks like HD has some promise (the PSP titles are supposed to be great). May have to get PS3 for this one if it's anywhere near as good as 1 or XL.
 
i love wipeout. no joke, my favorite title on the ps consoles.... my ps3 will pay for itself with this game, any news on release date? Actually bought a psp just for these titles...

I haven't heard any firm date. Should be sometime between now and June though.
 
Love the series, especially the way how they do the logos and the music. Of any of the very few reasons why I'd own a PS3, this game would make one of them.
