So silky smooth and just looks and sounds great. Only 8 tracks but its only 20 bucks so I'm not complaining. Motion control is something I can't get used to so I'll just stick with the analog for now. Hopefully some older tracks from the original Wipeout and Wipeout XL will be remade via DLC in the future. I suppose if Wipeout HD is successful (and I think it will be) it will happen.

I doubt that will happen. I suspect they will start working on a full-price retail release of WipEout, with new tracks and potential remakes of some other favorites.
At least, the PS3 deserves a new installment of WipEout.

Actually, releasing DLC add-on packs w/ tracks and racers on PSN is not a bad idea. Saves a lot of money on manufacturing and distribution.

I don't think that's what Sony has planned for the game though. Maybe some DLC for this one, but not as much as people would love to have. It sounded like they had been working on a true wipeout game, which I would expect. This is a best of. This was probably done for two reasons: build an intermediate engine that can be enhanced a little bit with time, but also as a test to see if there is enough demand for a retail Wipeout game. At least, that's my hope. Would love to see a full Wipeout game with a multitude of tracks, vehicles, and even more features.

FUCK YOU SONY!!!!

I am so pissed off right now. They are not adhering to HDTV standards, typical. My ps3 is set to output NTSC, 480p and 1080i. Start the game and my primary display can't scan it or display it. What part of 1080i/30 can they not understand!!!???
