This is a great example of a time I'm willing to spend money on unresellable content, because I think it will be just that good. The only other example would be the Orange Box. I'm ready to sign into my PSN account and purchase.

no its not, it originally failed the epilepsy tests and was the reason why it has been delayed until now

Seems pricey for a game with only 8 tracks, but I've never been big into the Wipeout games anyway.

I'll probably just save my $20 for Motorstorm 2.

PSN does their releases for the US around 4-5PM EST every Thursday.

European PSN releases come out around 10AM EST every Thursday.

Do you have a macro to type that yet? :p

I'll try the demo (if there is one) at least.

spent a couple of hours playing it. and its good fun. the online is good too

the presentation is excellent and the gameplay is smooth, but i can undertstand why it was priced quite low.

So silky smooth and just looks and sounds great. Only 8 tracks but its only 20 bucks so I'm not complaining. Motion control is something I can't get used to so I'll just stick with the analog for now. Hopefully some older tracks from the original Wipeout and Wipeout XL will be remade via DLC in the future. I suppose if Wipeout HD is successful (and I think it will be) it will happen.

Be sure to load up the soundtracks of the original games into your custom playlist. I was rocking out to firestarter during a zone track and that was just awesome

I doubt that will happen. I suspect they will start working on a full-price retail release of WipEout, with new tracks and potential remakes of some other favorites.
At least, the PS3 deserves a new installment of WipEout.
