which one do you prefer?

only vote on the first two options if you've tried both programs out. otherwise, options 3 and 4 are for you. :p

WinRAR 99.9% of the time but sometimes only some zips can be opened with WinZip.

what do you mean? sometimes, you just need to upgrade to the latest version of winrar or else you'll get errors.

It's not that. I'm specifically talking about the World of Warcraft Stress Test zips.

Windows extracts zipped files for me, and I don't download rars.

aha. sad. :p ;)

 I never have any problems with anything, I rarely even see .rar files and Windows does all my zipped files fine...

SO very sad.

try out winrar :p just do it!

I've used windows xp zip program to unzip java sdk docs and it was painfully slow.

I've used winrar on the same system and 13 mintues later it was unzipped and good to go while the xp unzip kinda died.

RAWR! Winrar allows you to unzip/unrar files with the right click menu quickly, while winzip's menu sucks. Also, if you are using the right click method, when your trial license expired, Winrar will do everything normally, while Winzip brings up that annoying window.
