WinXP: Why is IRQ9 Running So Many Devices?

When I look at system information in WinXP, IRQ9 is running ACPI, USB Hub, GForce3 TI200 (thank you Best Buy), Intel Network Adapter, Sound Blaster PCI128 and Promise Technology Ultra IDE Controller!

I am running an Asus A7V with the latest BIOS.

Does this surprise anyone? Does it hurt performance? IRQ 2, 5, 7, 10, 11 and 12 are unused. How can I assign these IRQ's to some of the devices named above?

Thanks for your input,

Thx for the link!

I had noticed all of my PCI devices had been assigned to IRQ 4 (Windows XP Pro). Thought it was odd, but decided to take the ol' "If it ain't broke..." path.

Now it works great (undoubtedly because I didn't try to "fix" it) and I have peace of mind too!
