WinXP sees PCI modem...no modem in my computer

HI,
Win XP and Win ME say that I have a PCI modem in my computer...it is listed in device manager as PCI modem but also saids that it has problems. I do not have a modem in my computer. The only problem that it causes is that it really hangs my system while booting (extremely long boot time)

Here is my system specs:
AMD 1400 cpu
ECS k7s5a
512 mb ddr ram
tekram scsi controller
2 seagate 9 gb hard disk....XP on one.. ME on the other
40 IBM Deskstar...storage
cheap creative Ensonique sound sound card
built in nic
ATI Radeon AGP 64mb DDR

From the device manager I have a location...can you translate this location to me into plain english so I know where to look for this problem...

PCI bus 0, device 2, function 6

any help with this would be appreciated

Todd

I know, but the OS recognizes the ACR slot as a modem.....if you look in the BIOS, it says "ACR Modem"...enable or disable....you need to disable it.

Insane YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!....that was exactly the correct answer to my problem.

Thank you so very very much

Todd
