i'm putting old spare parts together to make a computer for a friend and have a question about which ram to use. it's an nforce2 board with an athlonxp 1600+. i have 512m of pc2700 and 256 of pc2100.
my question is, should i use only the 2 pc2700 sticks since it is faster, or should i use all 3 sticks (which would limit all my ram to pc2100 speeds) since that would mean more memory?
it's been so long since i've used these old parts that i don't remember what's best!
