WinXP Pro gives me a critical error message on bootup, even after a proper shutdown, why?

Every time I boot up my system I get a "your system has recovered from a critical error" message even after I shutdown properly. This started showing up when I first OC'd it 😱 Now even when I return it to stock speeds it gives me the error. It is really weird though because the system runs perfectly stable OC'd running 3dmark2001, Prime95, Memtest96, and SuperPi. Any idea what the problem could be and how to make that @&%$#*$# error message go away (apart from the obvious disactivate error reporting)?

Yeah, had the same thing happen to me... my problem seemed to lay with my Mp3 player's driver (don't ask how), but that fixed it temporarliy, anyways, I picked up a new HDD, and reformatted, eveyrhting's great now, (the old HDD which had XP screw up is now my slave).

Honestly, i tried and tried and couldn't find a solution, so I did the all purpose solution "format C:"

yeah but then I have to call the Microsoft people and tell them why I'm re-activating the same copy, blah blah blah...
