WinXP pro crashes going into standby the 2nd time around???

Hey this is the strangest problem...

when i start my computer (windows XP Pro) and try to put my computer on standby for the first time it go in and comes out of standby without any problem...

But when i try to put the computer into standby again. it hangs right at the screen saying preparing to go into standby mode...so the only way for me to get out of this is to reboot the computer manually.

why does the daam thing do this...go into standby the first time then hangs up going into standby the 2nd time around in the standby screen?

this daam problem has been bugging me to death...

anyone have any suggestions....

Also i am having the same problem of the monitor not going into suspend mode...woth geforce2 pro card

but i think this is the problem because of the latest nvidia drivers....i dont know which one i have but i will update this when i get home to which nvidia drivers i have.... the default drivers that winxp has do not have this problem i think.....

Did you try disabling power management for your NIC? Go to Device Manager, double-click your NIC, click the Power Management tab, and uncheck the boxes. See if that helps...
