I've tried to connect to my roommate's computer, but without luck. We need to transfer some files so that he can format and clean up his computer. Thing is, we can't connect. I've gone through the window help file, and looked online, but nothing was able to solve the problem. The message that appears when I try to connect to his computer regards me not having "Permission to use network resources... network path not found." I've gone into the advanced settings of network properties, and enabled full access for all users - but I still could not connect. We are both using WinXP - and so I thought this should be pretty easy 🙂
Apparently, we both have onboard LAN devices. Could that be the source of our problem?
Both of our computer have file sharing, TCP/IP, and MS Client for Networks installed.
