WinXP & Outlook LDAP Error

Any ideas on the following description of the problem?

"What is microsoft LDAP directory? It now always comes up before I can open
MS outlook and it does not allow me to access my address book. It says ?.81
not found and then freezes the ops. And I then have to go cl/alt/del"

You added the MS Internet Directory Service. It allows you to search LDAP directories from inside Outlook and use them as Address books and other things. To get rid of it go to Control Panel>Mail. Click on Show Profiles and click properties on the profile you want to edit (if there are more than one). Click on E-mail accounts and then choose to View or Edit Directories or Address Books. Then remove the LDAP directory.
