WinXP & NortonAV2001?

I know NortonAntiVirus 2002 will work, but has anyone installed NAV2001 & got it to work? Symantec sez no, but Micro$oft sez they may have a patch available at their update site...I have XP Home. TIA!

Some people swear they have gottem NAV2001 to run problem free in XP. I have tried with no success. I also had no success with the patch. NAV2002 works just fine though.

I'm using XP and AV2001. I installed the patch and ran udates and haven't had any problems.

I would recommend AVP. I haven't had any problems with that Anti-virus program since Win98. It works like a charm and compared to Norton and McF it uses less resources than the other two.

Tried installing NAV2001 on my WinXP home system, I keep getting error messages saying it will *only* install on W95 or W98! Anyone
know how 2 get around this, cause I know with updates it should work?
