WinXP modem help: with screenshots.

here is what i am doing. I just built my 4th machine with windowsxp pro and a Digi card with two Digi Aceceleport Xem-PCI 16 port modules. so i have 32 modems on each machine.

When i hooked up the modems, XP did detect all 32 of them however when i go to
<<start-setting-controlpanel- phone & modem options: and then click on the modem tab XP does list all the modems but on the right column it has them listed as "not preset"

I then go to device manager and click on the PORTS and it does list Digi Communications Port (com 3-34) but in device manager I do not see a modem tree. when i compare it to the other 3 machines i built its there.

I was hoping to put this server into production at midnight tomorrow, I dont understand why XP would pick up those modems but not really add them...

There is no native Windows XP driver for it so it is using the Win2k unsigned driver.

This is just a wild guess but it may be that the firmware on the card is not the same
as the others.

thats just it. when i plugged the digi cable into the machine it detected all 32 modems with the driver for us robotics v everthing external, the same driver as the other 4 rigs i have build did.

i wonder if there is something wrong with the digi card, i rebult the machine last night (format & reload OS) so im on my way into the server room and see if i can do anything more. one other thing im going to try is to plug in a modem into com1 thats on the back of the computer and see what happens.
