Hey all!

This question is somewhat related to a topic I posted earlier, but I never quite got an answer, 'yes' or 'no' as to whether this can be done....

Our lab has Mac's..and mac's only. We are connected to the internet. Fast connection.

I would like to download *all* the updates for WinXP (service packs, security updates, critical updates, etc...) from our MAC computer (running MacOS X), burn them to a CD and then bring them home and install them on my home computer.

I do *not* know whether this can be done. Is there an FTP site or something that has all the WinXP downloads - and I can just get them all there or something?

Thanks....
Ran

Someone may have posted them on a ftp, but I think you will just have to download them manually from microsoft. If there is an easier way I hope some can fill me in as well.

Go to Windows update page Windows Update

Click on "Personalize Windows Update"

The first option is to 'Display Windows update catalog link' Check that.

Click Save settings

The link displays

Go to the Windows update catalog and choose your OS and all the updates you want.
Download and burn enjoy.

Umm.thanks for the reply WeeWolf, but, I think you forgot, I'm working from a *MAC* computer, hence the following message,

Thank you for your interest in Windows Update

Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the most out of your computer.

You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system in order to use Windows Update.

Ok my bad I'm connected via only MS computers here and did not know it would not allow you to see the page at all really. All I can say is that is how you download the updates in .exe format. Perhaps if you had even a laptop to connect while at work you could DL them there and bring them home.
Good luck

If you go to the Microsoft Download Site, you can search for anything you like. Haven't tried this on a Mac though.
