I have an 60GXP IBM 60GIG HDD that I recently got from newegg.com. I installed WinXP Pro final on it, and today when I installed the new drivers for my wireless intelli mouse explorer after I rebooted it didn't make it into WinXP again. Right after the second bios screen it gave me an error saying that my windows\system file was corrupt or missing. What could possibly be wrong that could have done that?
I recently after that fdisk /mbr my hdd, and also fdisk'd it and reformatted it just in case there was a virus attacking the mbr. Do you think that fixed it? My WinXP copy is also legit so I that's not the reason. It's a real CD not a burnt ISO. Hmm, what else could be causing this?
AMD 1.4 Athlon 266 FSB
60GXP 60GIG HDD
Geforce 2 MX 32 MEG
512 MB DDR RAM (CRUCIAL)
Abit KG7-Raid
