WinXp error 1016: Cannot save password, cannot flush registry...

I try to dial-up to the internet and I get "error 1016: Cannot save password. The system cannot write to, flush from the system registry..." or something close to that. The dial-up connection works fine and the password is saved.

This is in a fresh install of XP pro. I reinstalled 3 times, same problem.... I even tried a different CD of WinXP and I get the same thing.

This same copy worked fine on my previous computer....

This is an Athlon 2100+, Epox nForce2 mobo...

Any ideas?
